EMMA MEMMA

Dance Island Party

ARIA award-winning children’s entertainer, Emma Memma, is bringing her brand new show Dance Island Party to Bathurst in April 2025! After dancing in productions around Australia, France, India, Canada, China and New Zealand, Emma joined Australian children’s entertainment group, The Wiggles in 2010, becoming the first female Wiggle in the main line-up. Emma has recently completed her PhD at Macquarie University combining all her passions, focusing on the affective and artistic integrations of sign language, dance and film editing. Currently, Emma is touring the nation and abroad with her new children’s entertainment venture ‘Emma Memma’, winning the ARIA award for Best Children’s Album in 2023. ‘Emma Memma’ features Emma and Deaf dancer and artist, Elvin Lam (Elvin Melvin) highlighting visual language for pre-schoolers and their family network to give them the skills to communicate through sign and gesture

National Simultaneous Storytime

Come and enjoy National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) at Bathurst Library, reading a story at the same time as thousands of other libraries, schools, and bookshops across Australia. Library staff will read Truck Cat written by Deborah Frenkel and illustrated by Danny Snell at 12noon sharp, followed by more stories, songs, and rhymes. Plus, an interactive demonstration of our FREE library kid’s databases and a take home craft.

These Little Feet: Storytime with Hayley Rawsthorne

Join Orange author Hayley Rawsthorne for a heartwarming storytime adventure as she brings her beloved children's book These Little Feet to life! Perfect for young readers and their families, this special event will feature a reading of the book, fun activities, and an opportunity to connect with the author behind the story. Come celebrate the magic of little feet, big dreams, and the joy of storytelling in this interactive, family-friendly event! These Little Feet was named in Better Reading’s Top 50 kids books for 2025.

Mada’s Magic Marvels

Step into the world of Australia’s own Mr. Magic, master performer, illusion designer, and magic coach known for his work on Australia’s Got Talent, Possum Magic, Harry Potter & The Cursed Child Parts 1 & 2, and N.I.D.A (The National Institute Of Dramatic Art). Get ready for a hilarious and fast-paced interactive family show. Accompanied by legendary live pianist Peter Dascent (Playschool) - Prepare to be spellbound as objects materialise, vanish, and morph right before your very eyes in a series of mind-boggling magic moments that frequently involve the entire audience. Word on the street is that Mada will be scouting for a young apprentice from the audience to assist him with a jaw-dropping illusion on stage. Plus, Adam, a father of three, will lead a special interactive magical tribute dedicated to all the dads in the audience.

ViV! - is a children's theatre show about an adventurous, tough and sassy girl who lives with disabilities and her little sister 'Lil'. ViV! merges digital landscapes, puppetry and choreography with an original score played live. Our heroine Viv takes the audience on a sensory journey, transporting us into her imagination, to meet the quirky friends who surf her unique brainwaves and celebrate her for all her "ViVness" Relaxed performances for every show with break-out spaces available, doors open and light sensitive design.
