This event has sold out!
Feat. Matt Ferry (lead guitar), Michael Carpenter (drums) and Charlie Lee (bass)
Bathurst duo Smith & Jones, are joined by guitarist Matt Ferry, drummer Michael Carpenter (SYD) and bassist Charlie Lee (SYD) to perform Fleetwood Mac's 1977 Grammy Award winning, 13 times platinum masterpiece Rumours in full at BMEC in August. The album, which is 40 year old this year, includes the singles 'Don't Stop', 'Go Your Own Way', 'Dreams', 'The Chain' and 'You make Loving Fun'. Jessica Hooper from Pitchfork puts it best; Upon its release in 1977, Rumours became the fastest selling LP of all time, moving 800,000 copies per week at its height. Its success made Fleetwood Mac a cultural phenomenon and also set a template for pop with a gleaming surface that has something complicated, desperate, and dark resonating underneath. This show will be performed in City Hall with cabaret style seating and cheese plates available for purchase. Please note: Cheese plates will be available to pre-purchase soon.
